Katie and Stacy are sisters and mothers (with 5 wild kids between them!) who have lived in the High Desert of southern California since they were very little. They, along with the help of their husbands, created Hesperia Apothecary to fulfill a desire to craft and curate a collection of personal care products paying homage to the local desert and mountains. Working with their hands, slowly, in small batches helps them create products that are meant to remind us all that there are always possibilities.
Walt Whitman is a huge inspiration for Hesperia Apothecary, and in particular, The Song of the Open Road.
"To us, this poem represents the desert: long dusty roads begging to be traveled upon and discovered, meeting people from all walks of life along the way. It is breaking ways with convention and following your own path, seeking your own fortune, however that may look. Camerado!"
